Bimal Sharma; Head– Retail Advisory and Transaction Services- CBRE South Asia

Bimal is the Head of Retail at CBRE South Asia for their Advisory and Transactions Services team and is responsible for the growth and delivery of the retail business across India.

With over 21 years of experience in the retail real estate sector, he has led a wide range of assignments for leading developers (which included feasibility studies, shopping centre advisory, design advisory, creating leasing strategies and rejuvenating centres) and for reputed retailers (with respect to their market entry and store expansion strategies).

Prior to this, Bimal used to head Retail Leasing for Prestige Estates, and helped them lease 3 of their key shopping centres in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Mangalore. Prior to that, he spearheaded the Business Development for Cinepolis, where he successfully assisted them in executing an ambitious expansion plan across the county. Bimal started his career with Jones Lang LaSalle as the regional head for south India for their retail team which involved executing extensive landlord and tenant representation assignments.

Having worked through the entire spectrum of the retail real estate business in his various professional roles; as a real estate developer, a retailer and a retail property consultant – Bimal is valued by his clients for his ability to provide deep industry insights and create holistic property solutions for them
